Introduction:
Following a recent update, Microsoft made changes to the context menu for Windows Spotlight. Previously, users had options such as "Switch to next picture," "I like this picture," and "Not a fan of this picture" available in the classic context menu. However, these commands were removed in favor of a more modern menu interface. The decision was made because the commands used in the classic menu were not compatible with the structure of the modern menu. Even attempting to restore these commands through registry modifications proves ineffective, as they no longer function. Presently, the only available command in the Windows Spotlight context menu is "Open."
Important Note:
It's essential to highlight that this NS script generates commands based on the information provided by the modern context menu. Any future updates from Microsoft to Windows Spotlight might render the code ineffective. Therefore, users should be cautious and aware that changes in Windows Spotlight's functionality could impact the script's performance.
Description of the functionality:
- The top section displays the name of the current wallpaper image, which is "Isle of Skye, Scotland" in this example. There is also a tip with the name of the photographer.
- Next cycles through the four images in the current Windows Spotlight session.
- Learn about this picture opens a web page with more information about the image.
- Convenient access to various features related to the Windows Spotlight wallpapers from the same session. Users can quickly navigate through the available wallpapers and access essential information about each landscape.
- The Save this wallpaper option allows you to save the current wallpaper image to a location on your computer.
